Biography

Mr. Nigar was born June 17, 1927 in Cottonwood, Texas to Eddie and Mary (Brown) Nigar. He attended school in Cedar Bluff. Mr. Nigar served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was the widower of Edith “Laverne” Bennett whom he married April 17, 1948 in Baird, Texas. They moved to Clyde from May in 1963. He was a truck driver for T&W Trucking in Abilene and Joe South Trucking in Clyde. Mr. Nigar was a baptist.

Mr. Nigar is survived by three sons, Eddie Nigar of Clyde, Mike Nigar and wife Kelly of Baird, and Donnie Nigar of Clyde; three daughters, Vicki Stephens and husband Dalton of Oatmill, Texas, Kathy Buster and husband Eddie of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Sandra Buster and husband Ronald of Clyde; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by is wife Laverne in December 2007, his parents, four sisters, Jeffie “Nig” Bell, Velma Jones, Kathryn Bowen and Pauline Grashem, one brother, Newman “Bud” Nigar, daughter, Mary Torricelli and two grandsons, Joseph Wayne Nigar and Steven Stanley Buster.
