Alton Earl Dennington

Alton Earl Dennington, 62, of Clyde, Texas passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 12, 2023. A visitation / memorial will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Staple 6 Barn, 8760 FM 604, Clyde. 

Alton was a lifelong resident of Clyde. A meat cutter by trade, he worked many years at the local grocery store as the meat cutter and meat market manager. The last few years he has been with Lee's True Value Hardware in Clyde.

Alton is survived by his wife, Shelley Dennington of Clyde; his son, Hunter Dennington of Clyde; daughter, Kayli Cota (Justin) of Merkel; sisters, Jan Campbell of Utah and Pat Lovell (Jimmy) of Sweetwater, Texas; brother, Jesse Dennington of Clyde; nephews, Brian Dennington (Vanessa) of Abilene and Nathan Dearman (Bernadith) of Utah; niece, Victoria Lovell of Midland and several great nieces and nephews.

Alton was preceded in death by his parents, A.R. & Maxine Dennington of Clyde; brother, Bobby Dennington of Arkansas and a niece, Meagan Dearman of Abilene.
