Angela Ann Steele Martinez, 62, of Clyde passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family on Friday, December 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Clyde with Dr. Toby Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.
Angela was born on December 2, 1963, in Abilene to John and Mary (Ralston) Steele. She graduated from Arlington High School. She worked as an insurance agent in the Clyde and Abilene areas for 33 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde, where she had also served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Bible Study Fellowship Leadership Team. Angela had a servant's heart and loved to serve her family, friends and community.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to spend time with them and create special memories for them. She set an example for them of the unconditional and sacrificial love of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her father, John Steele of Clyde; her mother, Mary Trimmins of Clyde; her son, Aaron Martinez and wife Brianna of Abilene; her daughter, Ashley Terrell and husband Anthony of Albany; four grandchildren, Olivia Martinez, Adalyn Terrell, Amelia Martinez and Ansley Terrell; six sisters, Robin Dezern and husband Billy of Clyde, Donna Graham and husband Eddie of Abilene, Rhonda Woodard and husband Jay of Clyde, Jennifer Fanning and husband Jason of Clyde, Stacy Shelton and husband Justin of Arlington and Stephanie Bell of Borger; one brother, Chris Trimmins and wife Renea of Clyde and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Angela was preceded in death by her stepmother, Elizabeth Steele and her stepfather, Jerry Trimmins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Angela's memory to Love and Care Ministries, https://lcmin.com/donate/ . There will be a donation box at the funeral home and the church, and the family would love to accept any donation you would like to give at the services.
