Obituary

Pauline Ann Ford passed from this earth on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Clyde Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Clyde First Baptist Church with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ann was born November 19, 1938 in Neosho, Missouri to J.D. and Lennie Cochran. She was the oldest child, having two younger sisters, Beth and Dee. Moving frequently in her younger years with her father employed with Shell Pipeline. She graduated from Hamlin High School in 1956. After graduation she attended Draughns Business School in Abilene and then became employed in the insurance department at Hendrick Hospital.

Ann and Doug were married December 23, 1960 in their hometown of Hamlin. After Doug's graduation from McMurry University, they moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, where Doug was employed in the banking business. Her son, Reagan Kyle Ford was born in Truth or Consequences. In 1966, Ann and her family moved to Tuscola, Texas and later moved to Clyde with Doug being president of Peoples State Bank. Her daughter, Kathaleen Denise Ford, was born in Abilene.

Ann delighted in working with her two children, Kyle and Kathaleen in Clyde FFA, 4H Club and many other school activities. She especially enjoyed taking them and other students to the Ft. Worth, San Antonio and Houston stock shows, showing their heifers and steers.

Ann was also very active in the Clyde Community while residing here for 50 years. She served as founding president of the Clyde Woman's Club and various offices of the Clyde Study Club. She was an active member at First Baptist Church Clyde for many years and served in many areas.

She leaves her husband, Doug Ford; daughter, Kathaleen Ford Smith and husband Jeff; grandson, Dillon Smith and granddaughter, Kristen Smith of Austin.

Ann was preceded in death by her son, Kyle and her parents, J.D. and Lennie Cochran.
