Ardis Bennett White, 84, of Eula died Sunday, September 23, 2018 in an Abilene care center. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Rev. Blake White officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Ben was born August 8, 1934 in Knott to Duel and Audrey White. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 until 1957 and married Amy Hewison in Fountainbleau, France in 1957. They moved to Eula from Abilene in 1969. He was a truck driver for Delta Solvents for many years and was a Methodist.

He is survived by two sons, Tony White and wife Cindy of Eula and Cary White of Weatherford; daughter Mickey Faircloth and husband Auddie of Eula; two brothers, Jerry White of Abilene and Don White of Weatherford; six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Deborah Denese White, brothers Bob and Buddy White, sisters Dean Froman and Lee Turner.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene.
