Bailey Hal Roberts, 61, of Ranger, formerly of Raton, New Mexico, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Remington Ridge Church of Christ, 3250 Beltway South, Abilene with Steve Lemley officiating. Arrangements by Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.
Bailey was born November 24, 1956 in Wichita Falls to Hal Lanier and Cevellia Carolyn (Woods) Roberts. He graduated from Wink High School and attended Lubbock Christian College. Bailey was a Police officer and deputy sheriff for Roberts and Potter County for over 20 years. He was key in starting one of the first SWAT Teams in Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Bailey was such a kind person and a wonderful father, son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his mom and step dad, Cevellia Carolyn and James Barron of Abilene; five children, Joshua Lanier Roberts of Lubbock, Takoda Kaelyn Roberts of Lubbock, Clint Hal Roberts of Amarillo, Hailey Ann Roberts of Houston and Ariana Alysse Roberts of Lubbock; two brothers, Kolton Ross Roberts and wife Donnette of Friendswood and Gregory Dallas Roberts of McKinney; sister Cevellia Alatha Roberts and Joe Griggs of Merkel and a very dear friend Denny Willis of Angel Fire, New Mexico.
Bailey was preceded in death by his father Hal and a nephew Gregory Dallas Roberts.
