Barbara Kaye (Sheppard) Hagler, 70, of Lake Fort Phantom, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at  Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Barbara was born September 1, 1955, in Baird to Billie Joe and Bonnie Louise (Cowan) Sheppard. She graduated from Eula High School. Barbara married Thomas Rock after high school and they raised three children together, Tommy Rock, Kristi Rock Easley and Charity Rock. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Barbara was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom and housewife until her kids were grown then she became a business owner and over the next several years she ran three successful businesses before retiring. She lived at Lake Ft Phantom where she and Gary enjoyed spending time outdoors together. She loved riding jet skis, barbecuing with her family and working in her flower beds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Bonnie Sheppard, her sister, Nancy Bennett, brother-in-law, Mark Bennett, two nephews Travis and Arron Bennett, and her son in law Cody Sylvest all of lake Ft Phantom.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Hagler; her son, Tommy Rock and wife Traci of Eula; two daughters, Kristi Rock Easley and Charity Rock, both of Abilene; her brother, Bobby Sheppard and wife Becky of Lake Fort Phantom; her sister, Mary Sheppard of Abilene; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
