Barbara Wilson, 85, of Clyde passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Clyde Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home.

Barbara was born on December 16, 1940, in Dublin to Ernest Alton and Sarah Browning (Thompson) Cogburn. She graduated from Waco High School and attended Abilene Christian College. She married Terry J. Wilson in Abilene on May 22, 1961. Her family says her greatest job in life was being a “momma” and she excelled at it. She also loved doing family genealogy and taking family photographs. She was a very talented artist and was a devoted mom and grandmother.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Wilson of Abilene and Teri Wilson of Clyde; four grandchildren, Destanie Nicole Bailey, Marcus Malcolm Wilson, Hallie Michelle Kanani and Kyleigh Ann Wilson; five great grandchildren, Mohammad Kanani, Lillian Kanani, Abdul-Rahman Kanani, De’Laney Bailey and Psalmlynn Bailey.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Sarah Cogburn; her husband, Terry; her sister, Ila Nell Holden; and her granddaughter, Briana Wilson.
