Benjamin Garza, II, 35, of Eula passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Benjamin was born September 21, 1989, in Abilene to Benjamin and Sharon (Hastings) Garza. He graduated from Abilene High School in 2008 and was named Homecoming King. He worked as a correctional officer for the J.W. Hamilton Unit in Hamlin for a while, but his true calling was to be a comedian. His humorous personality and infectious laughter will be missed by many.

He is survived by his father, Benjamin Garza of Eula; his mother, Sharon Hastings Garza of Abilene; his sister, Brandi Garza of Abilene; his nephew, Ender Roy Muffett; his fraternal grandfather, Rev. David Garza, Sr. of Abilene; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis June Hastings of Abilene and many other relatives and friends.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Benjamin Roy Hastings and his fraternal grandmother, Norma Guajardo Garza.
