Bernard Eastmond Caffey, Jr., 65, of Abilene died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at a Plano hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Texas State Veterans at Abilene with Pastor's Marc Norton and Mike McKinney officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Bernard was born January 17, 1953 in Abilene to Bernard and Madeline (Smith) Caffey, Sr. He graduated from Abilene High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifetime resident of the Abilene area and a machinist for many years. He worked for his father at C&S Automotive in Abilene.

He is survived by his father Bernard Caffey, Sr. of Abilene; two sons, Shawn Caffey and Michael Caffey, both of Abilene; daughter Denena Caffey; sister Barbara Havner and husband Mike of Clyde; two grandsons; three granddaughters; two nieces, Christina Havner of Clyde and Tracy Lynn Havner Talley and husband Jordon of Abilene.

Bernard was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline.
