Betty Joyce Caraway, 89, of Clyde passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, in a Clyde nursing home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Clyde Cemetery with Ricky Stanford officiating. A visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Betty was born September 28, 1936, in Cameron to Jesse James and Fannie (Tharp) Liles. She married Bob Caraway in Cone, Texas on December 31, 1952. Betty was a homemaker for most of her life and also worked as a manager at Goodwill in Clyde for 25 years. Betty loved working outside in her yard and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Caraway and wife Carla of Tuscola and John Caraway of Clyde; one daughter, Debbie Shue and husband Charles of Clyde; one sister, Faye Johnk of Fargo, North Dakota; three grandchildren, Chad Shue, Justin Caraway and Carly Shue; five great grandchildren, Rylee Burns, Delanie Shue, Rowan Eckerle, Kylie Jo Caraway and Colton Caraway and one great-great grandchild, Adrian Berrington.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Fannie Liles; her husband, Bob Caraway and her sister, Margie Richey.
