Obituary

Betty Louise "Weezie" Bailey, 82, of Eula died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Eula United Methodist Church with Chaplain Kathi Edwards, Rev. James Martin and Rev. Bob Karlin officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Weezie was born January 27, 1935 in Eula to Gordon and Christine (Young) Smith. She was a 1952 graduate from Eula High School. She married Billie Rhea Farley in Vernon on December 9, 1955. He passed away on October 21, 1987. She later married Jim Bailey, Jr. in Abilene on July 4, 1999. She was a member of the Eula United Methodist Church and Volunteer of the Year for the Buffalo Gap Historic Village. She was a teacher's aide for Eula ISD and a lifelong resident of the Eula area. She worked at the Abilene State School until her retirement.

She is survived by her son Gordon (Hoss) Farley and wife Pat of Canyon; three daughters, Reena Garner of Abilene, Bettye Nelson and husband Bill of Canyon and Darla Flatt of Abilene; brother C. Lee Smith of Clyde; grandchildren, Tricia McHenry and husband Ben , Matthew Farley and wife Christina, Brian Massie, Lorrie Singer and husband Matthew, Michael Garner, Stephen Garner and wife Heather, Charla Strosser and husband Garrett, Travis King and Trisha Thompson, Trayce Cochran and Olivia Rene, Kortni Collins and husband Chad, Cutter Flatt and wife Shawna and Coyne Flatt and wife Sara; great grandchildren Shevy, Kinley, Wesley, Savannah, Dylan, Bennett, Wyatt, Gracie, Alec, Hayden, Ethan, Peyton, Miles, Klara, Tenley, Austin, Hannah, Nathan, Alyssa, Belle, Brayli, Blane, Macy, Hayes, Sawyer, Sadie and Cyla.

Weezie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's Billie and Jim and two infant sisters. Â

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Crawford, Paul Miller, Billy Reynolds and Hal Hoogstra.
