Beverly Jane Munson, 86, of Clyde died Thursday, November 4, 2021 in a Baird nursing center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Abilene with Father Santiago Udayar officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Burial will follow in Clyde Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Beverly was born October 4, 1935 in Robert Lee to William Ennis and Ordie (Hughes) Willbanks. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1953 and attended Draughns Business College. Beverly married the love of her life, James Edward Munson, in Clyde on January 23, 1954. They moved to Abilene from Clyde in 1955. They owned and operated J.E. Munson Insurance Agency in Abilene for 40 years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, James Clyde Munson and wife Teri of Clyde; daughter, Sharon Payne and husband Clifford of Clyde; granddaughters, Tracy Snyder of Lawn, Julie Holland and husband Shawn of Independence, Missouri and Naomi Brown, stationed at Avaino Air Force  Base; grandsons, Tyler Munson and wife Kelsey of San Antonio, Brett Munson and wife Grace of Lubbock and Joseph Reese and wife Emilee of Abilene. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James and her daughter, Lynnette Reese.
