Bobby Charles Carter, 87, of Clyde passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his home. A visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Bobby was born November 19, 1936, in Comanche County to Audry and Opal Katherine (Wallace) Carter. He graduated from Comanche High School. He attended Howard Payne College and received his electronics training while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He married Sara Jane (Jayne) Carter in Dallas on May 17, 1958. They moved to Clyde in 1965. He owned Texas TV in Abilene for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his son, Doyle Carter and wife Becky of Bronte; daughter, Bobbie Jane "B.J." Turner and husband Beau of Freeport, Florida; three grandchildren, Vanessa Jane Turner Quinlan and husband Shane, Victoria Jan Turner and Clancy Dean Carter, and one great granddaughter, Anna Jane Quinlan.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne: his parents; one brother, James Travis "Buddy" Carter and sister, Jean Hendricks.
