Bobby Lee Kirklen, 84, of Clyde passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Randall Ferrell officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.
Bobby was born on May 17, 1941, in Brady to Wayne Evans and Lila Mae (Selman) Kirklen. He was a graduate of Abilene High School. He married Glenda Ann Henson in Seminole on January 18, 1964, and they moved to the Clyde and Eula Community in 1974. He was an electrician and owned and operated Bobby Kirklen Electric for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glenda Ann Kirklen; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Kirklen of Hudson Oaks; one sister, Betty Ruth Edwards and husband Grady of Clyde; one grandson, Joseph Edward Bryan; brother-in-law, David Gist and wife Donna of Abilene and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Lila and two sisters, Kay Gist and Patsy Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1651 Pine St., Abilene, Texas 79601.
