Brenda Kay Brown, 64, of Hamlin passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024. A memorial / visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Brenda was born February 24, 1960, in Lamesa to Paul Thomas and Lois Faye (Moore) Cooper. She graduated from Clyde High School and earned her associate degree from TSTC in Sweetwater. Brenda was an active member of Clyde First Baptist Church until she moved to Hamlin in 1996. Brenda worked in the Clyde, and later Hamlin, school districts as a "lunch lady" and advanced to Foodservice Director. She later moved on to work with various high schools and TSTC College, helping coordinate technical school preparation for high school students. She was a master gardener and loved working in her garden. She also loved her dogs and her chickens. She was affectionately known as BB to all. She made sure everyone around her felt like one of the family and she will be sorely missed by so many.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Brown and wife Carisa of Lampasas and Randy Brown, Jr. and wife Lanona of Abilene; two daughters, Tabitha Ferrell and husband John of Hamlin and Aimee Bilbrey and husband Jimmy of Avoca; her partner of 27 years, Beth Perry of Merkel; stepchildren, Samantha Larsen and husband Chuck of Hamlin, Sarah Lynch and husband Scott Abad of Mesa, Arizona and Thomas Perry and wife Marchell of Merkel; twenty grandchildren; one sister, Linda Bosse of Hamlin; niece, Shannon Whitney of Hamlin and many other relatives and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lois; brother, Tommy Cooper and sister, Letha Cook.
