Obituary

Brett Cole Underwood, 29, of Clyde, died early Friday morning, May 15, 2026 doing what he loved with his buddy. Brett loved his two boys and his family more than anything. He was a very hardworking man who was a leader in everything he did. He would give the shirt off his back to a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. His laugh and smile brought joy to anyone that knew him.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Beltway South in Abilene with Cody Cochran and Cole Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Kendrick Cemetery in Denton Valley. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Bailey Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Brett was born January 9, 1997, in Abilene to Joseph Bryan Underwood and Melissa Bross Beeman. He was a 2015 graduate of Clyde High School where he excelled in sports. He married the love of his life, Kalli Williams on April 4, 2020, in Clyde. Brett has worked for Taylor Electric as a Journeyman and Engineering Technician for the last nine years. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of Anson and loved his church family.

Brett is survived by his wife, Kalli Underwood and his two sons, Bryson and Kooper Underwood; his mother and step-father, Melissa and Jim Tom Beeman; his grandparents, Ginny and David Chance; his father, J.B. Underwood; his brother, Ryder Beeman; his sisters, Aubrey Beeman, and Alyssa Balderas and husband Timothy; nephews Wyatt and Waylon; and niece Whitley. He is also survived by an abundance of grandparents, in-laws, cousins and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Colby Baskett, Hunter Weir, Jordan Canada, Tye Spears, Brady Holsinger, Justin Betz, and Kevin Hagan. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryder Beeman, Will Hagan, Ethan Guzman, Will Windam, Zak Whitlock, Timothy Balderas and Brody Shadell.
