Carlos Flores Perez, 90, of Clyde, formerly of Abilene, died Friday, November 8, 2019 in a Clyde nursing home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Father Wade officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Carlos was born March 17, 1929 in Del Rio to Margarito and Teresa (Flores) Perez. He graduated from Del Rio High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He worked for the State of Illinois for 42 years as a lab technician in a state hospital.

He is survived by his nephew Ron Hunter and wife Edith of Abilene; niece Linda Joplin and husband Lee of San Antonio and several other nieces, nephews and friends.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.
