Carolyn Sue Tidwell, 67, of Abilene died Thursday, March 8, 2018 in an Abilene hospice facility. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Carrigan Family Cemetery at FM 18 & PR 2150 in Eula with Brother Larry Hooper officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Carolyn was born June 21, 1950 in Pampa, Texas to Harold and Dorothy (Holland) Adams. She graduated from Abilene High School and married James Tidwell in Buford, South Carolina on January 3, 1975. She was a cook at the Derrick Café in Abilene for 20 years and was a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years James Tidwell of Abilene; two sons, Greg Martin and wife Kamica of Abilene and James Harold Tidwell of Abilene; sister Patricia Carrigan and husband Willie of Eula; three granddaughters, Lauren, Ashley and Cara Sue.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents.
