Charles Ray Harrison, 86, of Abilene died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Post Oak Cemetery in Stephens County under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Charles was born August 10, 1936, in Breckenridge to Samuel William and Lois Mae (Dendy) Harrison. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and married Norma Gollihar on April 20, 1957, in Grand Prairie. He worked for many years as a marine mechanic, welder and a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife Norma Harrison; two sons, Billy Harrison and wife Sherry of Clyde and Herschel Harrison and wife Debbie of Abilene; four grandchildren, Rehschel Harrison, Cheyenne Harrison, Britanna Harrison and Shantay Vaughn and five great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lois Harrison and his brother, Darryl Harrison.
