Charles William Hukill, 73, of Clyde died Monday, September 26, 2022, in an Abilene hospice facility. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Charles was born October 29, 1948, in Lindale to Freddie and Evelyn (Jones) Hukill. He spent his early years in Rhome and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, returning to Texas in 1970. He worked as a truck driver and had lived in the Clyde area for the last 12 years.

He is survived by three sons, Chuck Hukill and Lacey Rau of Clyde, Billy Hukill and Rebecca Atkins of Clyde and Cody Bruton of Abilene; two daughters, Kasandra Powell and husband John of Joshua and Ashley Taylor of Clyde; brother, Freddie Joe Hukill of Huntsville; four sisters, Brenda Garrison of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Sharon Hukill of Jewett, Julie Loncon of Groves and Vickie Morris or Marquez; eleven grandchildren, C.J., Nicole, Courtney, Picabo, Preston, Waylon, Levi, Bo and Toby Hukill and Taylor and Josh Atkins; four great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Leon Hukill.
