Cheyerl (Sherry) Lynn Harris, 60, of Clyde died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church of Clyde with Rev. Monty Barnett officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Sherry was born November 28, 1958 in Monahans to Hilton and Helen (Blanscet) Hackney. She attended schools in Abilene.

Sherry was a loving and devoted mom, as well as a loyal friend and sister, but her favorite role was being a grandmother. Sherry spent hours upon hours caring for and loving her grandchildren. Sherry was very active with the Ladies Auxiliary and The American Legion of Baird. Both of which she loved. The family thanks the Ladies Auxiliary and The American Legion of Baird for the many ways Sherry was cared for.

She is survived by three daughters, Lori Ellerd of Lueders, Crystal Ellerd of Graham and Jessica Fry of Clyde; three sisters, Sue Boggs and husband Howard of Denver City, Sandy Beggs of Abilene and Charlotte Boggs and husband Johnny of Breckenridge; brother Pat Hackney of Ardmore, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Jessica Harris, Jocelyn Boggs, Mackenzie Fry and Madison Fry and three great grandchildren, Alexsis, Lauryn and Phoenix.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Harris and her brother Wayne Hackney.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Clyde First United Methodist Church, Church Camp Fund.
