Chris Daniel Thornburg died May 31,2021, after a 10 month battle with cancer.  Chris was born Sept. 30, 1959 to Essie Louise Schoolcraft and Byron Willard Thornburg. His mother died before his second birthday, and he and his brothers were raised by their father and grandmother.

Chris was a floor-layer for 47 years and worked hard all his life. He was generous to a fault, often giving away his money and possessions to those who he believed needed it more and always paying his workers first. He was a talented guitarist and wrote much of his own music. He loved animals and rescued several dogs in his later years. He was devoted to his son, Josh, who was his pride and joy.

Chris was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Lou Byron. He is survived by his brothers, Luke, Matthew and Greg, his son, Joshua and grandchildren Farrah, Maliki and Jude.

A graveside service will be held at Bethesda Cemetery on FM 113, in Garner, Texas Friday, June 4 at 2:00 pm.  He will be laid to rest next to his brother, Chuck.
