Darla Kay Waggoner Ross, 60, of Abilene, passed away Friday, February 14, 2019, at an Abilene Care Center. Memorial Services will at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Aaron Clendenen officiating.

Darla was born September 9, 1958, in Abilene to Joe Allen and Emily Elvira (Batley) Waggoner. She graduated from Abilene High School and received her LVN license from Cisco College of Nursing. She was employed by Hendrick Medical Center for several years. Darla was a Baptist.

Darla is survived by her son, Daniel Applegate (Desi) of Lubbock; two daughters, Jennifer Clendenen (Aaron) of Magnolia, Texas and Candra Applegate of Marlin, Texas; four brothers, Lyndell Leon Waggoner, Chester Ray Henson, Jr., Weldon Lee Henson and Larry Travis Henson; and one sister, Juditha Denise Henson; six grandchildren, Avry, Marley, Emma, Matthew, Wyatt and Trystan Clendenen; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents.
