Darlene Anne Watson, 67 of Clyde/Eula died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in an Abilene hospice facility. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2pm at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Pastor Charly McDermett officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Eula Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the funeral home from 5 pm – 7 pm.
Darlene was born October 6, 1951 in Albany, TX to Luther and Mary Ketterman. She attended school in West Virginia. She married Oscar Bradford Watson in Abilene on January 26, 1970. He passed away in 1979. Darlene had managed the Eula Drive-In for 18 years and afterwards worked at Lawrence Bros. in Clyde for five years.
She is survived by one son Brad Watson and wife Stephanie of Baird; fiancé Benny Dye of Eula; three brothers, Richard Ketterman and wife Kim of West. Virginia, Jerry Ketterman of Salem, Ohio and J.R. Ketterman; five sisters, Rhonda Beezel and husband Anthony of Hepziban, West Virginia, Rebecca Been of Shinston, West Virginia, Joyce Pratt and husband Robert of Boothesville, West Virginia, Brenda Lamm of Shinston, West Virginia and Christine Ketterman of West Virginia; four grandchildren, Kasey Watson of San Angelo, DeAnthony Bland of Abilene, Jeffery Bullard and Emily Wells, both of Baird.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Stacy Watson, and two sisters, Tina Turner and Debbie Lynsy.
