David Eugene (D.J.) Whitt, Jr., 33, of Clyde died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Pavilion at the Clyde Lake, 7681 FM 3217, with Pastor Louis Brewer officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

D.J. was born April 24, 1986 in Abilene to David Eugene Whitt, Sr. and Susan (Parker) Whitt. He attended school in Clyde and was a lifelong resident of Callahan County. He worked as an apprentice for Brown Electric for many years.

He is survived by his father David Eugene Whitt, Sr. and stepmother Roxie of Clyde; brother Michael Cooley of Clyde; five sisters, Crystal Whisenhunt and husband Jerry of Clyde, Jennifer Sublett of Abilene, Misty Neff of Clyde, Kimberly Sublett of Clyde and Shawna Sublett of Saint Jo and several nieces and nephews.

D.J. was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Macke and his uncle Raymond Whitt.
