David Lee Wells, 70, of Clyde died Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

David was born September 9, 1951 in Colorado City to John Luther and Beulah (Harris) Wells. He worked many years in the oilfield and as a mechanic. He moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1988. He had also lived in Ranger and Cisco. David loved anything car related and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kathi Taylor of Clyde; daughter, Stephanie Watson and husband Brad of Baird; two grandchildren, Jeffery Bullard and Emily Wells and many other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, John Luther Wells and Beulah Wells Brooks and by Stephanie's mother, Judy Wells.
