Dearl Jean Hicks, 85, of Clyde passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dearl was born June 20, 1940, in Abilene to Herman Lee and Margie Marie (Henry) Hicks. He attended schools in Texas and California graduated high school in Stockton, California. He later worked as a truck driver for many years. Dearl loved cars, racing, Nascar and Coca-Cola.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeana Carmack and husband, William of Trinidad, Colorado; his son, Brandon Hicks of Colorado; two brothers, Donald Hicks of Stockton, California and Ronnie Hicks of Colorado; one sister, Ruby Haynes of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Sky, Alexander and Dakota and numerous other relatives and friends.
