Deborah Ann (Debbie) Smith, 71, of Hamby died Sunday, January 26, 2020 in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Hamby Cemetery with Pastor Robert Graven officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Debbie was born February 4, 1948 in Knox City to Adrian Rex (Tom) and Maggie Lou (Scroggins) Browning. She attended school in Munday. She previously worked for Lockheed Martin and Tige Boats and retired as a clerk from the TDCJ Middleton Unit.

She is survived by her sister Linda Kinman and husband Charles of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Sonya Ancell and Justin Warren of Hamby, Meagan King and husband John of Hamby and Colton Smith and Layna Fulton of Temple; five great grandchildren, Alexis, Destiny, Jacklyn, Elijah and Kimberley.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Tommy Smith, her daughter Deborah Gollihar, her brother Rex Browning and her former husband Thomas Smith.
