Deborah (Debbie) Suzanne Harrison, 65, of Clyde passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Clyde with Pastor Louis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Debbie was born Mar 22, 1958, in Lubbock to A.L. and Gina Mary (Horsley) Deakins. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1976 and attended Cisco Junior College. She moved to Clyde from Lubbock in 1967 and married the love of her life and her high school sweetheart, Guy Harrison in Clyde on June 2, 1978. Debbie ran a daycare out of her home for around 15 years. She worked in volunteer services for Hendrick Medical Center and was the first nursing recruiter. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde and was active in many youth groups, including Bible Drill and Children's Choir. Everything changed when she became a "Nanna". Her grandchildren became the most important people in her life and she was always willing to help them or do anything their hearts desired.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Guy Harrison of Clyde; two daughters, Jessica Harrison of Clyde and Rebecca Perkins and husband Matthew of Abilene; grandchildren, Keily Perkins and fiancé Adyn Craddick, Tod Perkins and Paige Perkins, all of Abilene; brother, Steve Deakins and wife Linda of Clyde; niece, Alycia Stisser of Dallas; aunt, Carolyn Deakins and her children, Theresa and Sheri of Longview; brother-in-law, Gary Harrison and wife Donna and their children, Kati and Alyssa; sister-in-law, Amy Bowlin and husband James and their daughter, Emily of Kerville; the son they never wanted, John Bryan Chesser of Clyde; caregiver and special friend, Esther Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her uncle, Wayne Deakins; brother-in-law, Greg Harrison and Mother-in-law, Joanne Harrison.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Hendrick South ICU nursing staff, the Encompass Rehab staff and Hendrick Hospice Care staff for their wonderful caring and compassion for Debbie. For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Debbie's honor, the family suggests Hendrick Hospice Care.
