Dennis Eugene Boland, a long-time resident of Clyde, Texas went to be with the Lord Friday, July 24, 2020, at the age of 67.

Dennis was born June 3, 1953 in Odessa, Texas, to Dale and Roma (Reese) Boland. He attended Cisco High School, where he proudly trumpeted for the Cisco Lobos Marching Band. He was an adventurer, never met a stranger and possessed a sharp, witty sense of humor. He enjoyed horses and hunting, loved fishing and camping and was a jack of all trades. He worked in the oil field most of his life, which included traveling to Armenia. He spent a few years tending the grounds of the Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Sitka, Alaska, before returning to Texas.  He then managed the produce department at Lawrence Brothers for several more years before retiring. Dennis was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Clyde.

He is survived by his daughter Lucretia Lescher of Lucas, Texas; granddaughter, Moira Boland of Austin, Texas; former wife, Liana Davis of Austin, Texas; siblings, Cheryl Robinson and husband Mike of Sheffield, Texas; Dale Boland II and wife Nancy of Lovington, New Mexico; Karen Yielding and husband Ronny of White Oak, Texas; and nephews, Brad Pence and wife Melissa of Baldwin, Missouri, and Jason Pence and wife Angela of Comanche, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dale Boland and Roma Boland and sister, Dianne Pence.

A ceremony will be held at a future date under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home in Clyde. Dennis will be laid to rest in the Scranton Cemetery in Scranton, Texas.
