Don Allen Boles, 73, of Clyde died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Lovell officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 17 ^th at the funeral home.

Don was born July 16, 1948 in Lubbock to Don Ervin and Margaret Ellen (Fears) Boles. He graduated from Clyde High School and attended Cisco Junior College. He married Patsy Owens in Archer City on April 11, 1966. They moved back to Clyde from Fort Worth in 1970, where he was a member of the Clyde First Baptist Church.

Don worked as a supervisor for General Dynamics from 1967 until 1994, when they closed. In 1980, he started working parttime at his parents insurance agency. In 1994, he became partner in the Don Boles Insurance Agency, representing Germania Insurance. He and his wife owned and operated the agency until his retirement in 2018. He was a member of Gideons International and Gold K Kiwanis, where he was Lt. Governor.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Boles of Clyde; son, John Boles of Clyde; two daughters, Gail Lovell and husband Bobby of Lubbock and Sheri Sowell and husband Derrick of Buffalo Gap; son-in-law, Brett Fryar of Sundown; two brothers, Derel Lee Boles of El Paso and C.R. Barbian and wife Theresa of San Angelo; sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, LaDonna Fryar.
