Donald Lee Craig, 75, of Clyde died Monday, February 21, 2022, in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Clyde First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Stone officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Donald was born August 28, 1946, in Greenville to Wilton and Charlene (Shearer) Craig. He graduated from Greenville High School and received his bachelor's degree from East Texas State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 21 years with the rank of Captain. Donald married Cynthia Taylor in Woodstock, Illinois on June 24, 1967. They moved to Clyde in 1994 and he was a member of the Clyde First United Methodist Church. He worked for the Department of Corrections for over 15 years and was an avid golfer and a member of the Breakfast Club.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Craig of Clyde; two daughters, Stephanie Lewis of Fort Worth and Melissa Blackwell and husband Johnny of Stephenville; sister, Carolyn Duck; four grandchildren, Caitlyn Blackwell and husband Dylan Whitehead of Stephenville, Samantha Blackwell of Stephenville, Hunter Lewis and McKenzie Lewis, both of Fort Worth and two great grandchildren, Jett Whitehead and Wylie Whitehead.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Charlene.
