Donald Joseph Macke, 88, of Clyde passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, in an Abilene hospice facility. No services are scheduled at this time.

Donald was born September 18, 1935, in Mullen, Nebraska to Sylvester John and Dorothy Ann (Conner) Macke. He graduated from St. Patrick High School in North Platte, Nebraska. After graduation, he served four years in the US Air Force. He married Sharon Adkins in Denver on July 10, 1958. He started working at Ben E. Keith in Abilene in the early 1970's and retired in 1999 as division manager. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sharon Macke of Clyde; one son, Hal Macke and wife Debra of Abilene; two daughters, Kathy Washington and Dobee McKay, both of Abilene; one brother, Tom Macke and wife Diana of Abilene; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his son, Rick Macke.
