Dorothy Sue Bowen, 73, of Clyde died Friday, November 12, 2021 in an Abilene hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Denton Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Tobey officiating. Arrangements by Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Dorothy was born January 30, 1948 in Prague, Oklahoma to Wayne Justice and Stella (Loper) Reed. She graduated from high school in Cooper, Texas. She worked as a cook and waitress around the Anson and Stamford areas. She moved to Clyde from Hawley in 1994 and was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Tracy Bowen of Baird; three daughters, Tonya Dorris of Breckenridge, Tammy Turner and husband Jimmy of Alabama and Tabitha Burton and husband Kevin of Clyde; two brothers, Richard Reed of Abilene and Larry Reed of Haskell; seven grandchildren, Colton Burton, Dillon Burton, Charles Roberts, Devin Burton, Tyler Wagner, Angela Bowen and Tracy Bowen, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Jaxon Jr., Audrey and Jacob and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Henry Reed and two sisters, Shirley and Paulette Reed.
