Dorothy Holdridge, 86, of Potosi died Monday, January 14, 2019 in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel of Clyde with David and Phyllis Carlson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kendrick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born April 14, 1932 in Callahan County to Oren and Aliene (Jennings) Kendrick. She graduated from Clyde High School and later attended beauty school. She owned and operated Dot's Beauty Salon in Abilene for many years. She married Charles Holdridge in Abilene on November 17, 1989. Dorothy was a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband Charles Holdridge of Potosi; three daughters, Wanda Aliene Patterson and husband George of Montgomery, Judy Elaine Wimberly and husband Richard of Kingwood and Deborah Sue Williams and husband Randy of Scottsville; sister Barbara Ann Galatian of Houston; 16 grandchildren, Jason Putnam, Chad Putnam, Kimberly Bailey, Buck Wimberly, Mike Wimberly, Syvette Keathley, Summer Willig, Jessie Williams, Joseph Williams, Charity Jones, Brooke McIntosh, Aubree Williams, Heath Williams, Sybree Williams, Victoria Williams and Jade Williams; 25 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mary Helen Kendrick and Norma Jean Kendrick and a brother Billy Paul Kendrick.
