Dorothy Jean Normandin, 97, of Abilene, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at an Abilene care center. There are no services planned at this time.

Dorothy was born March 28, 1926, and graduated from high school in Willard, Missouri. She moved to Abilene from Prescott, Arizona, to be near family in 2009. She was a stenographer with Mountain Bell Telephone until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of Church of the Beatitudes in Phoenix.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Volney and Flossie Greenwade; two sisters, Virginia Adams and Nancy Pucket; a brother, Jack Greenwade; and a grandson, John Devore.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Connie Rose (husband Jimmie) of Abilene; two grandchildren, Rachel Russell (husband Kenneth) of Abilene, and Mike Devore (wife Shannon) of Idaho; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Palmer, Seth Burress and Madalynn Russell.
