Steven Douglas (Doug) Bond, 57, of Clyde died Friday, August 6, 2021 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Clyde First Baptist Church with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Doug was born August 28, 1963 in Snyder to Ellen (White) Campbell. He graduated from Cooper High School. He married Lisa Brownlee in Abilene on July 31, 1992. Doug worked for Bridwell Oil Company for 30 years. At the time of his passing, he was oilfield superintendent. Prior to working for Bridwell, he worked for Joe's Pumping Unit Service for five years. He moved to Clyde from Abilene in 2005 and was a member of the Clyde First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Ellen White Campbell of Abilene; wife Lisa Bond of Clyde; son, James Wesley Hale of Abilene; two daughters, Amber Machelle Bond of Alaska and Amanda Rochelle Bond of Abilene; brother, Timmy Lee Bond of New Mexico; sister, Danette Jackson of Abilene; grandchildren, Naysa Shaylee Alley of Alaska, Julia Grace Villarreal of Forney and Max Lee William Robbins of Alaska; special friends, John Bryan and Amanda Chesser, Pierce and Elizabeth Chesser, Jacoby and Ashley Taylor, Doris Perry, Steve Ginnings, Mark Henderson, Chris Robinson, Mike Malone, Donnie Nelson, Glen "Possum" Altman, Rusty Blackstock, Coach Petty, Jake Smith, Raymond Holt, First Baptist Church of Clyde, Bridwell Oil Company and Scott and Paula Goolsby.

Doug was preceded in death by his son, John Michael Paul Bond and grandparents, Hazel and Grady White.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
