Edwin Keith Harber passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the age of 64, at home with his family around him. His funeral will be Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Clyde First Baptist Church with Dr. Toby Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.
Edwin was born November 9, 1956 to Robert Louis Harber and Iona Lavern Hutton Harber at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He grew up in west Texas with his mom, dad and two sisters, Glenda and Sherie. Edwin gave his life to Christ at the age of 12. Edwin and his family moved to Clyde in 1971. He married the love of his life, Lisa Marie York on September 15, 1979 in Farmers Branch, Texas. Edwin and Lisa moved to Clyde from Carrolton in 1982. At that time, he worked for his dad at Harber Grocery until his dad's retirement. From there he worked a couple other jobs until he ended up at FedEx for the last 18 years. Edwin and Lisa had two children, Robbie and LaDonna. He loved spending time with his family, playing golf, watching the Cowboys or a game show. He just loved being together with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a nephew, Justin Barr.
Edwin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lisa Harber of Clyde; daughter, LaDonna Dunn and husband Jerl of Bossier City, Louisiana; son, Robbie Harber and wife Lea of Lubbock and two grandsons, Hunter and Jackson Dunn; two sisters. Glenda Petrusky and husband Stan of Florence and Sherie Barr and husband Wayne of San Angelo and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
