ALBANY – Erick Thomas Lakey, 26, of Albany, went to be with our Lord and savior on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Erick was born September 9, 1992, in Abilene to Cheryl Fowler and Rick Lakey.

Erick was a fun, big hearted, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. His sense of humor and larger than life attitude, smile and warmth brightened everyone around him. Erick loved his family and friends and enjoyed being the life of the party. He attended school in Albany and loved playing football for the Albany Lions. He loved fishing, hunting, working on cars, playing chess and cards. He will be missed by so many; he will forever be remembered in our hearts.

Erick was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Justin Myers and his paternal grandmother, Martha Lakey.

Erick is survived by his mother, Cheryl Fowler and husband Gary Brown of Abilene; his father, Rick Lakey and wife Chris of Wilson OK; his paternal grandfather, Richard Lakey and wife Louise of Healdton, OK.; his maternal grandfather, Doni Fowler of Abilene; his maternal grandmother, Linda Atkins and husband Glenn of Clyde; his brother, Cody Myers and wife Heather of Sulphur Springs; his sisters, Wendy Terrell and husband David of Silsbee TX, Brandi Edwin and husband Adam of Ohio, and Trisha Carrion of Abilene; his step-brother, Curtis Orr and wife Brittany of Columbus Ohio; his step-sister, Jordan Groves of Wilson OK.; his paternal uncle Doug Lakey and wife Cindy of Duncan OK; his paternal uncles, James Lakey and wife Tiffany of Graham TX and Michael Atkins of Clyde; his paternal aunt, Jennifer "Sissy" Lakey Wilson of Healdton, OK; his maternal aunts, Diana Price and husband Charlie of Albany and Tara Placker and husband Michael of Merkel; his cousins, Josh, Jarrod and Justin Lakey of Oklahoma, Sierra and Gracie Price of Albany, Addison Fowler of Albany and Nathon and McKinsey Wright of Merkel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
