Eulyene Estella Hill, 85, of Eula went to be with her Lord, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at a local hospice center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13th at Eula Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. with Charlie McDerment officiating.  Burial will follow in the Eula Cemetery under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30 P.M., Tuesday at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hill was born March 23, 1933 in Wedowee, Alabama to Archie and Lora (Lipham) Waters. After moving with her family to Texas, Eulyene graduated from Kermit High School.  She married in 1953 to Roy F. Hill in Kermit, TX.  The Hill family was blessed with two children; Delora Ann and Clifford Wayne. They moved to Abilene in 1966 and then to Eula in 1967. Eulyene retired from the Abilene Reporter-News in 1992 with over 17 years of service.

Eulyene was preceded in death by her parents: Archie and Lora; two brothers: Alvoh and Clydene Waters; and two sisters: Inez Miller and Beatrice Douglas.

She is survived by her husband Roy of Eula; daughter Ann Owen and husband Bill of Eula; son Cliff Hill and wife Shelia of Arlington; two grandchildren: Jeff Hill and wife Nancy of El Centro, CA, and Jason Hill and wife Kasandra of Temple; and four great grandchildren: Travis, Gus, Logan, and Charlotte Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hendrick Hospice Care or the First Baptist Church of Eula.
