Frank Fulton Lewis, 86, of Abilene went to collect his reward on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 2:29 a.m. in an Abilene hospice facility. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel of Clyde with Rev. Jeff Leverton officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born July 7, 1934 to Ernest Lewis and Mattie Smith Lewis in Dolby Spring, Texas

Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joe Lewis, Lois Lewis, James Lewis, Lenard (Dink) Lewis, and Hazel Smith, Ida Proctor, Pat Patterson and R.L. Patterson.

Survived by his wife Lola Lewis of Gilmer, Texas: his twin sister, Francis Marilyn Miles of Las Vegas, Nevada; son, Franky Lynn Lewis and wife Loretta of Sundown, Texas; daughter, Teri Renay Munson and husband James of Abilene, Texas; special adopted daughter, Nancy Taylor of Clyde, Texas, who made extra time for him; son, Daniel Sean Lewis (Bo) of Longview, Texas; daughter, Dana Lewis of Breckenridge, Texas; he has eight grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank spent his lifetime working in the great outdoors as He loved the fresh air, and sunshine. After moving to Abilene, he spent his days playing dominos, and sitting on the porch watching the squirrels run around in the trees. He kept the bird feeder full so the birds would be close enough to see from his bedroom window when he couldn't set outside. He took great pleasure in long country rides on Sunday afternoons his favorite saying being "now that's country living!" As time went on, and he could no longer go outside without supervision he was given an ankle monitor. He, and his roommate stole a butter knife from the dining room. Together they were able to cut the monitor off of his ankle so he could sneak outside.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hendrick Hospice Care, Abilene.
