Frankie Joyce
Mcgough
Dec 24, 1947 — Aug 20, 2023
Frankie Joyce McGough, 75, of Cross Plains was called home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday August 20, 2023, surrounded by family.
Frankie was born December 24, 1947, to Pat James McGough and Hilda Joyce (Welch) McGough. She attended school in Cisco. She was saved and baptized at Nimrod Baptist Church at the age of 10. Frankie loved the Lord and served him faithfully until the end. She was a member of Living Water Ministries since 1995 and was ordained as a deaconess in 1999. She was a prophetic intercessor and served as lead intercessor of her church for almost 20 years. She also served as a chaplain at Abilene Regional Medical Center for several years. Frankie loved her family and friends and could often be found praying for them and all of those in need. What she lacked in physical strength, she well made up for spiritually. She was an avid reader and loved watching Jeopardy, as well as fishing and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Letney of Lake Brownwood; her daughter, Charlotte Townson and husband Corey of Cisco; four grandchildren, Caleb Townson of Cisco, Erin Townson and fiancé Tristian Thompson of Eastland, Abby Jones and Jenna Letney, both of Abilene; one great granddaughter, Adeline Kay Thompson of Eastland; four sisters, Patsy Deel and husband Billy of Baird, Kay Mosley and husband Gary of Nimrod, Barbara Westbrook and husband Troy of Eastland and Brenda Christian of Crockett; one brother, Lewis McGough of Clyde and a much-loved sister -in- law and sister by heart, Denise Sprayberry and husband John of Willis and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Frankie was preceded in death by her daddy, Pat McGough; stepmother (momma), Eva McGough; her mother, Joyce Stewart; one sister, La Velda Walker; two brothers, Ellis Gilmore and Bo Blaylock.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Living Water Ministries, 548 TX-36, Cross Plains, Texas 76443 with Bobby Lee officiating.
The family would like to express a thank you to all who prayed for her and all those who helped take care of her these last months. You are all greatly appreciated.
