Gayle Ray, 80, of Abilene, formerly of Clyde, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, in an Abilene nursing home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Hamby Cemetery with David Peterson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Gayle was born September 28, 1943, in Abilene to Albert Franklin and Frankie Eugena (Watson) Ray. She graduated as valedictorian from Abilene High School. She worked for Acco Feeds, formerly Paymaster, for many years and was a member of the Clyde Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cheryl and Nona Ray and one brother, Heath Ray.
