Gladys (Kay) Katherine Freeman, 86, of Clyde died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in an Abilene care center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Clyde Cemetery with Pastor Greg Clemmer officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Kay was born March 8, 1937, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to William Silas and Surelda Nave (Merrick) Like. She graduated from high school in Midland. She married Paul Freeman in Clyde on April 15, 2000, and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Freeman of Clyde; two sons, James Castner and wife Roxy of Yukon, Oklahoma and Paul Castner and wife Vicki of Granbury; daughter, Debbie Hooper of Clyde; two grandchildren, Leslie Wells and husband Gary of Baird and Christy Gorham and husband Joel of Lorton, Virginia and five great grandchildren, Landrum Wells, Garcen Wells, Evyn Wells, Chelsea Gorham and Jonah Gorham.

Kay was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth, Dolly, Sarah and Wilma and her son-in-law, Jerry Hooper.
