Glenda was born on October 1, 1939, to Burl and Beatrice (Davis) Taylor. After graduating valedictorian from Westbrook High School in 1958, she went to Draughons Business College. She then went to work for the Texas Soil Conservation Service.

Glenda married Robert Wood June 17, 1960. They went on to have two children, Robert Wood, Jr and David Wood. Glenda and Robert were active members of the First Foursquare Church in Abilene. Glenda served as church secretary and Sunday School teacher.

Glenda was predeceased by husband, Robert Wood; parents, Burl and Beatrice Taylor; three brothers, Earl, Dean and Joe Taylor and two nephews, David Taylor and Jack Taylor. She is survived by her sons, Robert and David, both of Clyde; brother, Jack of Big Spring; four grandchildren, Chance, Scott, Krystal and Katie; great grandson, Zaiden; former daughter-in-law, Gloria of Buffalo Gap and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Pastor Larry Mask officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 ^th at the funeral home.
