Guy Arnold Rister, 64, of Clyde, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Hendrick Hospice in Abilene. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Hamby Cemetery with Travis Leamon officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Guy was born August 27, 1961, in Abilene, to Edgar and Linda (Williams) Rister. He grew up in Clyde and graduated from Clyde High School in 1980. He married Misti Dobbs on January 31, 2003, in Abilene. Guy owned Rister Sign Company in Abilene which was started by his family in 1922.

Guy is survived by his wife Misti, of Clyde; two sons, Guy Rister of Abilene and Kris Williams and wife Linsey of Clyde; two daughters, Destinee Rister of Clyde and Dakota Teasdale of Eula; one brother, Brad Rister of Tuscola; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Russell Rister.
