Hazel Irene Dionne, 84, of Eula died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at an Abilene hospital. No services are planned at this time.

Hazel was born June 25, 1936 in Paisley, Scotland to Hilda Ireland McManus. She grew up and attended schools in Liverpool, England. She married David Anthony Dionne in Liverpool in 1955. David was in the Air Force and they lived in many different places, finally moving to the Abilene area in 1968. She worked for the Abilene State School as a trainer, retiring after 30 years.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Dionne of Eula; three daughters, Desiree Elia and husband Tim of Florida, Yvonne Dionne and fiancé Eddie Winegeart of Abilene and Elissa Dionne and Velva Nelson of Dallas; brother Arthur McManus and wife Essie of Bangs; sister Jackie Holden and husband John of Nottingham, England; four grandchildren, David, Nicole, Donald and Dionne, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
