Helen June Sims, 60, of Clyde died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in an Odessa hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

June was born March 25, 1959 in Big Spring. She was raised by Joshua and Helen (Fenton) Cochran. She attended school in Baird and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving from January 1981 until July 1983. She married Charlie Sims in Baird on May 25, 1999 and together they owned AJ's Discount Beer in Putnam for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Charlie Sims of Clyde; two sons, Jeremy Matthews and wife Tiffany of Abilene and Brent Sims and wife Mindi of Comanche; three daughters, Chelsea Bedwell and husband Thomas of Putnam, Casey Sims of Comanche and Stacy English and husband Jason of Abilene; two brothers, Darrell Floyd and wife Debra of Putnam and Larry Floyd of Moran; two grandchildren, Joshua Matthew and Ricky Hobbs.

June was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Katie Baker and Judy Floyd and a brother Billy Floyd.
