Homer Allen Hanna, 85, of Eula passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Homer was born June 29, 1940, in Artesia, New Mexico to Jack and Bertie (Walters) Hanna. He graduated from Artesia High School and later served in the National Guard. He married Ellen Hoots in Amarillo on December 29, 1965, and was a truckdriver for the majority of his life.

He is survived by three sons, Russell Lee Hanna of Abilene; Ronald William Hanna and wife DeAnna of Abilene and Richard Allen McKee  and wife Kathy of Umatilla, Oregon; two daughters, Sherrie Miller and husband Mike of Tucson, Arizona and LaTonda Marie Whisenhunt and husband Todd of Abilene; one brother, Doug Hanna and wife Lola of Minot, South Dakota; two sisters, Peggy Hanna Boarman of Williamsburg, Virginia and Louise Callaway of Littlefield; nine grandchildren, Cody Hanna, Ricky McKee, Andy McKee, Kalynn Hughes Jody Miller, Amanda Hines, Scottie Bamlet, Justin Bamlet and Cortney Montgomery and sixteen great grandchildren.

Homer was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bertie; his wife, Ellen and his brother, Charlie Hanna.
